Previous track record

Accurate, controlled riding

Horse must have a history of being sound

Rider and horse must be on form at time of selection

Temperament of rider and ability to ride under pressure

Combination must be consistent

Must be well mannered and a good sport under ALL circumstances

A desire to ride for team rather than self

 

Additional Showing Criteria :
Current points are considered but only as a guideline.
The selectors have full discretion to choose the team which in their opinion, is the one most likely to win
Where applicable, horse must jump the heights, and must do fixed obstacles which may be at the venue e.g. Dykes etc in Working Hunter
Horse must travel well
The team horses may be required to perform in other team classes in certain circumstances, so the selectors may consider the versatility of the horses in the team.
The current condition of the horse is to be considered
